9:00-9:30 am

  • Registration and Exhibitor Viewing
  • Enter the free drawings for Door Prizes and Grand Attendance Prize — must be present to win
  • Enter the Raffle for a member made adult size afghan - need not be present to win — Tickets are 1 for $1.00 or 6 for $5.00

9:30-10:30 am

  • Developing a Genealogical Research Plan for Your Family Research — Patricia Walls Stamm, CG, CGL A thoughtful plan outlining your aims.
  • German Church Books-Marriage Records & Traditions — Kathy Wurth, “Family Tree Tours”.  Marriage records are a major resource for German research and examples will be shown. Also, will discuss the practice and customs of marriage itself.

  • Break and Exhibitor Viewing

  • Personnel Records of the National Archives at St. Louis — Bryan McGraw         Access Coordinator-St Louis & Midwest-National Archives and Records Administration.  Giving guidelines that will aid in your research of those that served in the military.
  • Using Technology to Increase Your Genealogical Learning!  — Patricia Walls Stamm, CG, CGL.

In today’s world things change rapidly.  Learning is not just for the basics, it is the way to keep us abreast of techniques, sources, or technology.

  • German Church Books: Marriage Records & Traditions — Kathy Wurth

Marriage records are a major resource for German research and we show examples of what you can find in the records themselves but we also will discuss the practice and customs of the marriage itself.

  • DNA IN the Lab — Pamela Johnson, Criminalist Supervisor of the Missouri State Highway Patrol E Crime Laboratory.

The ethnic origins have led to merging this knowledge to genealogy.

The purpose of this presentation is to introduce attendees to the National Archives in North County. To explain what it is (and what it is NOT), how it can be of help to all, not just the genealogist. How to use it for research.
